Jeff Platt Joins the WSOP Full-Time as Broadcaster and Producer
Some moves in poker just make sense. Jeff Platt has spent years working across the poker industry with many of the game’s top organizations. Along the way he’s built a reputation not just as a polished broadcaster, but as someone players and teams trust. Whether he’s on camera or behind the scenes, Jeff brings preparation, perspective and genuine care for the game.
This new role with the WSOP expands that impact.
Jeff will continue as a broadcaster on the game’s biggest stage, while also stepping into a producer role where he can help shape the vision and execution of WSOP content moving forward. That combination matters. It signals a long-term commitment to improving how poker is experienced, both by the players in the room and the fans watching around the world.
In a post announcing his first day, Jeff shared how much this opportunity means to him and why it feels like the right next step.
“I strongly believe in the vision for poker’s biggest and best series in the world, and I greatly look forward to helping to build the brand,” Jeff wrote. “Player engagement is really important to me, and I want to continue listening and working to improve the player and viewing experience.”
That mindset is exactly what stood out throughout this process.
At Above the Felt, we’ve always believed that the future of poker media lives in the overlap between credibility, storytelling and authenticity. Jeff embodies all three. He understands that not every request can be accommodated, but every voice deserves to be heard. He also understands that the viewing experience matters just as much as what happens on the felt.
Tom Wheaton, Founder and CEO of Above the Felt, shared his perspective:
“Jeff has earned this through years of consistency, preparation and trust,” said Wheaton. “He’s worked with the best organizations in the industry and always shows up with the same level of care for the players and fans.. This isn’t just a broadcasting role. It’s a chance for Jeff to help shape where WSOP productions go next, and I couldn’t be happier for him or the WSOP team.”
As the WSOP looks ahead, Jeff’s presence as both broadcaster and producer brings a steady hand and a thoughtful voice to the table. It’s a win for the WSOP and a win for Jeff. It’s positive step for the poker community as a whole.
Jeff is available for endorsement and promotion of products and brands outside of poker as well. For inquiries, learn more about Jeff and contact us today.
