Darren Elias To Compete in First-Ever $25,000 WPT Heads Up Poker Championship
Orlando, FL (June 14, 2021) -- Above the Felt® Entertainment is proud to announce that team member Darren Elias will be competing in the first-ever $25,000 buy-in WPT Heads Up Poker Championship Presented by Poker King, an invite-only event featuring a star-studded lineup.
Elias’ success on the World Poker Tour is well-documented, and his participation on the WPT Heads Up Poker Championship gives Elias the chance to further etch his name in the poker history books.

As the only player with four WPT titles, Elias is the most decorated player in the World Poker Tour’s storied history. Elias won the WPT Borgata Open for $843,744 and WPT St. Maarten for $127,680 in Season XIII, WPT Fallsview Poker Classic for $326,776 in Season XV, and WPT Bobby Baldwin Classic in Season XVI for $387,580. He’s reached 12 WPT final tables from 42 career WPT cashes. All told, nearly $4 million of Elias’s $8.1 million in live tournament winnings have come on the World Poker Tour.

The WPT Heads Up Poker Championship will be played online on the Poker King platform, running June 18-22, 2021 with live streams of matches. It is an invitational tournament featuring 32 competitors, and Elias will compete alongside some of the biggest names in the game. Confirmed players include Elias’ fellow WPT Champions Club members Phil Ivey and Nick Schulman, as well as Tom Dwan, Doug Polk and more.
