BetMGM Poker Extends Darren Elias Ambassadorship Through 2023
All-time WPT title holder to expand BetMGM Poker ambassador role for live and online poker.
Above the Felt Entertainment is pleased to announce that BetMGM Poker extended its partnership with Darren Elias in 2023. Elias became the first BetMGM Poker brand ambassador in 2021 and will continue his work in an expanded role.
Elias started his 2023 work in the first week of the year with BetMGM Poker at The Return: A Borgata Championship Event, where he cashed in the Main Event. He had just ended the best live poker year of his career, earning more than $1.7M in 2022. From final tables on the PokerGO Tour to the World Poker Tour, the player with the most WPT titles in history just missed adding a fifth when he finished second at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Florida.
A successful initial 1.5-year ambassadorship with BetMGM Poker led the leading US online poker brand to extend the partnership with Elias.
This year, Elias will continue to facilitate the growth of the BetMGM market share in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. While he will represent the brand in live tournaments around the world, he will also contribute to the development and promotion of daily, monthly, and quarterly online tournaments. Elias will also help promote new BetMGM online poker features and special events.
Further, Elias will work to create and promote omnichannel online and live poker collaborations with MGM, similar to this month’s Borgata Return and the 2022 BetMGM Championship at Aria in Las Vegas last summer.
